Volunteers

The Saxton B. Little Library invites those who wish to volunteer at the Library to apply.

Volunteers are identified as persons who regularly perform duties or tasks for the Library without wages or benefits. Community service workers shall work under the same guidelines as other Library volunteers. Note: Library volunteers are different from the Friends of the Library volunteers who are governed by their own policies and bylaws.

Volunteers should understand that they are recognized by the public as representatives of the Library and be guided by the same rules and requirements as employees.

Any individual over age 12 may apply to be a volunteer at the Saxton B. Little Library; potential volunteers should anticipate a commitment of 30 minutes per volunteer visit.

For those interested, please request an application at our Circulation Desk. If accepted, training will be provided.

Currently the Library is seeking volunteers who are interested in:

* Shelf reading

* Showcasing their collection or hobby in our display case
