Summer Reading

Q: How do I get my Summer Reading Folder? 

A: Get your folder after MONDAY JUNE 29th. You have 3 choices for pickup:

1. Take a folder from the box on our CURBSIDE TABLE during the following hours:
     M & SA from 11-4, TU, W, TH from 11-7 & FRI 10-2
    Once you’ve picked up a folder, follow the directions on the front cover to
    register from home (see below). 

2. Ask for a folder at the circulation desk during our upcoming (TBA) browsing hours.
      Staff will register you for Summer Reading at that time. 

3. Print all the folder materials from home (scroll down to PDF links).
     Once you’ve printed the folder materials, register from home (see below).

or at the circulation desk during browsing hours, while supplies last.

FAQ’s

Q: What age kids can participate?
A: The Summer Reading Program is open to all ages! For very young children (under 3)
our all-year-round 1000 Books Before Kindergarten may be a better fit. Teens are welcome
to participate in either our Children OR Adult Summer Reading Program, though not both.

Q: Do I need to live in Columbia to participate?
A: No

Q: Do I have to register to participate?
A: Yes! Please read the top of this page carefully and register if you need to (after June 29th).
